PCD Premill Cutter
Diamond Premill Cutters for edgebanders such as Biesse, SCM, Brandt, Holzher and others are available in a variety of sizes and designs.
Cutters can be 2, 3 or even 4 wing, with diamond brazed tips or with diamond insert knives (which cannot be re-sharpened) and with different PCD tip sizes.
When shopping and comparing prices, the size of the diamond tips will determine how many times a tool can be sharpened.
Most edgebanding machines come with “disposable” PCD tipped premill cutters. As a result, it can only be sharpened one time before there is insufficient clearance left.
